Commission Minutes--September 15, 2003 2651 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SEPTEMBER 15, 2003 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The chairman asked Vern Bennett to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the order of the agenda, moving the joint city/county emergency management discussion to the first item on the regular agenda because Mayor Bruce Furness was present and will be presiding over a city commission meeting later today. Motion carried. 5. BUDGET ADJUSTMENT, North Dakota Recorders Information Network (NDRIN) MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve an increase for the North Dakota Recorders Information Network (NDRIN) budget by $60,000, and authorize the county auditor to issue checks to the county recorders in each of the respective counties. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENT, Approved for Rick's Bar at Bonanzaville MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve a special event permit for Rick's Bar at Bonanzaville, U.S.A. on September 16, 2003, for the Ad-Federation of Fargo-Moorhead's annual event from 5:00 - 8:00 PM On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. CONTRACT APPROVAL, EZ Gov. Inc. MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the following contract submitted by the respective department head, subject to state's attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: Ez-Gov, Inc. online services agreement for display and collection of property taxes on the web site, at a cost of $10,000 for the annual subscription fee. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
