Commission Minutes--December 20, 1999 2071 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS DECEMBER 20, 1999 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairperson Robbie Quick called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider and Robbie Quick. 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 3. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order of the agenda as printed. Motion carried. 4. ROAD DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE, Commendation letter to Steve Grindberg MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chair to sign a commendation letter to Steve Grindberg, Cass County Highway Department employee, who is retiring after nearly 34 years of continuous service. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. Mr. Grindberg was present to receive the letter and a plaque in honor of his retirement. 5. REGISTER OF DEEDS EMPLOYEE, Commendation letter to Carol Harrington MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chair to sign a commendation letter to Carol Harrington, Register of Deeds employee, who is retiring after 28 years of service. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. Ms. Harrington was present to receive the letter and a plaque in honor of her retirement. 6. WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT COMMENDATION, Letter to Jim McLaughlin MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chair to sign a letter of commendation to Jim McLaughlin for his 12 years of service as a board member on the Southeast Cass Water Resource District, as well as various other committees. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. Mr. McLaughlin was presentto receive the letter. 7. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Appointments to boards and committees MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to amend Commission Policy Manual Section 4.00 and Section 14.01 as follows: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
