Commission Minutes--December 6, 1999 2067 Harwood Township Board and the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that Abatement #4155 and #4156 for Cliff Rott and Vicky Kukes be approved as recommended by the City of West Fargo and the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that Abatement #4157 for Duane Hazer be reduced by $15,900 to $174,800 as recommended by the City of West Fargo and the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 10. EXTENSION SERVICE, Grant for Character Education Programlbudget amendment MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the Character Education Program grant from Region V Children's Services Coordinating Committee in the amount of $7,575 be accepted; and that the County Auditor's Office amend the budget for the program. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 11. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for six automobiles: budget adiustment for Alcohol Enforcement Award: TRIAD Grant and Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force Grant MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to authorize the Sheriff's Department to purchase four 2000 Chevrolet Impalas at $17,990.20 each and to purchase two 2000 Ford Crown Victorias at 21,197.00 each. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the necessary $1,000.00 budget adjustment to the appropriate expenditure account of 1 01-3502-421.1 0-35 and revenue account 101- 3501-331.55-05 for the Sheriff's Department Alcohol Enforcement Award. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to accept the TRIAD Grant and Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force Grant for fiscal year 2000 and authorize the chair to sign the award documentation. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 12. CONTRACT APPROVAL, Houston Engineering MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the following contract submitted by respective department head and portfolio commissioner, subject to State's Attorney approval; and authorize the chairperson to sign: Houston Engineering for Cass County Highway 81 design project in the amount of $61,945. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
