<br />Commission Minutes--May 17,1999 1978 <br /> <br />Mrs. Quick acknowledged Dave Rudolph, Cass County Electric Cooperative, who addressed <br />the Board and gave an estimated cost of $274,000 for emergency repairs and restoration of <br />electrical lines in Cass County during the ice storm in early April this year. The cooperative <br />incurred heavier losses in Barnes County during that same time. <br /> <br />5. BUDGET REQUESTS, Calendar approved for year 2000 county budget <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the <br />budget calendar as presented by the County Auditor setting August <br />2, 1999, as the latest date for departments to submit year 2000 budget <br />requests to the County Auditor's Office; September 7, 1999, as the <br />date for approval of the Preliminary Budget; and October 1, 1999, as <br />the latest date for adoption of the 2000 budget. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Budget adiustment for dictation equipment <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend the <br />Sheriff's Department budget for office equipment by $22,700 to be <br />financed by carryover funds from 1998 for the purpose of purchasing <br />new dictation equipment, which was originally budgeted as a lease, <br />and to move $2,300 of funds from the copier budget to the office <br />equipment budget to complete the purchase. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Received and filed for Clerk of Court <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file <br />Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for the Clerk of District Court and <br />authorize the county treasurer and county auditor to issue a duplicate <br />check. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. PERMITS FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, Approved for Arthur W. Jones Post 7564: Dokken <br />& Schroeder Post 0223: and Multiple Sclerosis Society Dakota Chapter <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to grant site <br />authorization permits to conduct games of chance under license <br />issued by North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of <br />July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000, as follows: Arthur W. Jones Post <br />7564 at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds; Dokken & Schroeder Post <br />0223 at the Erie American Legion Hall; and National Multiple Sclerosis <br />Society-Dakota Chapter at the Wild Rice Bar & Grill. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. PERMITS FOR RAFFLE, Sandhills Archers: Red River Valley Fair Softball <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve raffle <br />permit for Sandhills Archers, Inc. to be held June 23, 1999, at <br />
