Commission Minutes--January 4, 1999 1922 18. MEETING UPDATES; LEGISLATIVE REVIEW, Committee reports Commissioners reported on various meetings attended since the last Commission meeting, as well as upcoming meetings. With the legislative session beginning this week, Mike Montplaisir talked about accessing the proposed legislative bills on the internet. Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, said Friday afternoon legislative review sessions will begin this Friday at 3:30 PM in the Commission Room. Mr. Wieland said he was appointed to the North Dakota Association of Counties and County Commissioners Association Legislative Committees. 19. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. copy of letter co-signed by Fargo Mayor Bruce Furness and Commissioner Robbie Quick to the State Water Commission, concerning flood mitigation along the Red River Basin; letter from Terry Compson and Mick Pflugrath, Co-Chairmen of the Citizens for Responsible Flood Control group, dated December 26, 1998, regarding the proposed dike south of Fargo; notice from Office of Intergovernmental Assistance of the administrative closeout of the ADA Head Start Rehabilitation project; and letter of resignation from Morris Melander from the North Cass Water Resource Board effective January 1, 1999. 20. ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed On motion by Mr. Koenig and seconded by Mrs. Schneider, the meeting was adjourned at 5:20 PM.
