<br />Commission Minutes--November 16, 1998 1891 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />NOVEMBER 16, 1998 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Donna Schneider called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: Robbie Quick, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Alon Wieland and Donna Schneider. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to remove the abatement <br />continuation for Orville Iwen from the regular agenda since Mr. Meyer <br />indicated he has not met with Mr. Iwen as stated in the October 5th <br />Commission minutes, and to re-schedule this item on a future agenda. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the order of <br />the agenda with the following changes: 1) remove Dennis and <br />Deborah Roesler from the list of added taxes, according to <br />information from the County Auditor; 2) add Veteran's Service Office <br />budget adjustment; 3) add Metropolitan Council of Governments <br />resolution approving the Intelligent Transportation System Plan. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Law enforcement block grant award for 1998 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chair to <br />sign the 1998 law enforcement block grant award. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. ABATEMENTS, Donald Puetz: P. Fred Anderson: Greg Nellermoe: David Gust <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded that abatement #4075 for <br />Donald Puetz be denied, as an appropriate adjustment has already <br />been made. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded that abatement #4076 for <br />P. Fred Anderson be denied, as an appropriate adjustment has <br />already been made for flood damage. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
