Commission Mi nutes--September 15, 1997 1708 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SEPTEMBER 15, 1997 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:45 PM with all members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting held September 2, 1997, and to approve minutes of special meetings for budget purposes held August 25, 26 and 27, 1997. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) move final plat approval of Kris- Bue Subdivision and Richard 2nd Subdivision to regular agenda; 2) under contracts, Industrial Builders, Inc. and Border States Paving, Inc. for flood repair projects and J.R. Painting and Northland Ltd. for highway building maintenance, and North Dakota Association of Counties joint powers agreement; 3) add bingo and raffle permit for Kindred School to consent agenda; and 4) add pay telephone lease to regular agenda. Motion carried. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Sheriff Don Rudnick to Louisville, KY on September 27-October 3, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Rich Sieg and Keith Berndt to attend a Federal Highway Administration County Road Advisors' Workshop in Rapid City, SD on October 29-30, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Keith Berndt, Roger Mertes, Steve Grindberg and Rob Miller to attend a public works exposition in Minneapolis, MN on September 16, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
