Commission Minutes--November 18, 1996 1538 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS NOVEMBER 18, 1996 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider, Bernie Ness and Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order of the agenda, adding a contract with Hardrives, Inc. to the consent agenda under contract approvals and a revised purchase order from Data Processing Coordinator for AS400 computer upgrade. Motion carried. PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Ratify action of November 4, 1996 MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to ratify Personnel Overview Committee action of November 4, 1996, amending Section 6.02, Family Medical Leave. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve out-of- state travel for Kathy Hogan to attend American Public Welfare Association Winter Meeting of the National Council of State Human Service Administrators and Local Public Welfare Administrators to be held in Phoenix, AZ December 6-12, 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. PURCHASE ORDER, Approved for AS400 computer uDprade MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize chairman to sign purchase order for AS400 computer upgrade in the amount of $260,~.~.~..70, according to revised purchase order submitted today by Mike Steiner, Data Processing. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
