Commission Minutes--October 3, 1996 1525 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> OCTOBER 3, 1996 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the special meeting to order at 11:00 AM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider, Bernie Ness and <br />Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint. <br /> <br />VETERANS SERVICE OFFICER, Hospitalized due to a.=artment building fire <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize <br /> Chairman Toussaint to assist Veterans Service Officer, Jim Brent, and <br /> his family in whatever manner the county policy allows during this <br /> difficult time in their lives. Motion carried. <br /> <br />MEETING CLOSED AT 11:05 PM FOR ATTORNEY/CLIENT CONSULTATION <br />Mrs. Toussaint stated this meeting was called for the purpose of discussing anticipated civil <br />litigation or adversarial administrative proceedings. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to close the meeting for <br /> the purpose of discussing anticipated litigation with our attorney <br /> consistent with North Dakota Century Code 44-04-19.1. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting was opened to the public at 1:45 PM.
