Commission Minutes--September 30, 1996 1516 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> SEPTEMBER 30, 1996 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members <br />present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider, Bernie Ness and Sharon <br />"Pepper" Toussaint. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of <br /> the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve the order of <br /> the agenda, adding a Road Department request for the Weed Control <br /> Officer and appointment of State Fair delegates to the consent agenda. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />JAIL STAFF, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve out-of-state <br /> travel for Michael O'Malley, Michele Boucher and Linda Skogen to <br /> attend the "Corrective Thought Process" seminar in Minneapolis, MN <br /> on October 10 and 11, 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve out-of-sate <br /> travel for Nancy Pillen, Social Services employee, to attend the National <br /> Federation of Families Meeting in Washington, D.C. on November 14-17, <br /> 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Actions of September 16, 1996 ratified <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to eliminate Colonial <br /> Life & Accident Insurance Company; Capitol American; American <br /> Family Life Assurance Company; and American Heritage Life Insurance <br /> Company as Cass County payroll deductions effective January 1, 1997. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
