14. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--July 15, 1996 1497 <br /> <br />VEHICLE AUCTION; WATER RESOURCES BUDGET SYSTEM; COUNTY TO HOST <br />EXCHANGE REPRESENTATIVE; IBM IMAGING STATION, Committee reports <br />County Auditor Michael Montplaisir said five vehicles were sold at the auction last week and <br />$6,900 was raised. He said two vehicles did not meet the minimum bid and he suggested they <br />become part of the county motor pool. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir said a Finance Committee meeting was held today to discuss the new budgeting <br />system with the Water Resource Districts. Also, he said changes will be made to the special <br />assessment program to help with the drain system. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir said Cass County was asked by an international group to host a Japanese <br />government exchange representative in November and Social Services Director Kathy Hogan <br />agreed to be the host family for this person. <br /> <br />Ms. Johnson said representatives from the IBM Marketing Division held a teleconference with <br />her and Data Processing Coordinator Mike Steiner to discuss the imaging station in the <br />Personnel Office and said that Cass County will be featured in an upcoming technology handbook <br />for a government solution profile series. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br /> correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />resolution from City of Casselton requesting Cass County to continue to levy three mills for the <br />Growth Initiative Fund and one mill for Fargo Cass County Economic Development Corporation <br />operations for 1997; <br /> <br />copy of letter from Southeast Cass Water Resource District to Fargo Public Schools dated June <br />28, 1996 regarding southside rural sewer connection; <br /> <br />City of Fargo customs activity report for last quarter <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed <br /> On motion by Mr. Ness and seconded by Mr. Wieland, the meeting was <br /> adjourned about 4:15 PM. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />MiChael Montl~laisir-'Auditor <br />Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />S6aron Toussaint, Chairman <br />Cass County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br /> <br />
