Commission Minutes--May 6, 1996 1464 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 6, 1996 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Sharon "Pepper~' Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider, Bernie Ness and Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the last regular meeting held April 16, 1996 and minutes of the special meeting held April 22, 1996 be approved as written. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve the order of the agenda. Motion carried. ROAD DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE, Commendation/retirement of Delano Dohman MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to send letter of commendation to Delano Dohman from the Road Department for his 36 years of service to Cass County. Mr. Ness read the letter and presented a plaque to Mr. Dohman for his retirement, which was effective April 30, 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel request approved MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Leslie Johnson to Glenco, Minnesota on April 18, 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Madonna Nelsen, Norma Frohberg, Jan Iverson, Jennifer Doll and Helen Hawk to attend a workshop on aging in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, May 1, 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. AUDITOR, Out-of-state travel request approved MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Deb Ness and Cheryl McQuade to attend an HTE Conference in Kissimmee, Florida on June 2-6, 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
