Chairman Toussaint could call additional <br />emergency meetings as needed in the next couple of weeks. <br /> <br />A future issue may be deciding when and if any major roadways need to be cut in order to <br />facilitate the flood waters going into the Wild Rice River channel, according to Mr. Ellingsberg. <br />He said Cass County will receive a supply of filled sandbags from the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers because they were no longer needed in the Grand Forks area. These will be hauled <br />to the County Highway Department for use by the county in an emergency situation. <br /> <br />Under the past county policy, Mr. Ellingsberg said individuals were required to protect their own <br />property. Sandbags and sand are available from private vendors. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to reinforce county policy <br /> regarding sandbags whereby individuals can purchase them from <br /> private vendors.
