Commission Minutes--January 16, 1996 1430 COURTHOUSE SOUTH WING REMODEL; BURIAL POLICY COMMITTEE; COMMISSIONERS JOINT MEETING WITH FARGO AND WEST FARGO; WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT ACCOUNTING SYSTEM; VETERANS SERVICE OFFICER INTERVIEWS, Committee reports County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson reported that the second, third and fourth floor courthouse south wing remodeling project began late last week. Mrs. Schneider said the burial policy committee met January 10th, and a draft policy should be ready for review at the next commission meeting. Mrs. Toussaint asked commissioners to notify Bonnie Johnson if they are unable to attend the joint luncheon with Cass County, Fargo and West Fargo Commissioners scheduled for noon on January 18th at Season's at Rose Creek. Mrs. Toussaint and Mr. Wieland met with the Water Resource District board last week to discuss the accounting software package which they recently purchased. Mr. Wieland said four interviews were held today for the position of Cass County Veteran's Service Officer. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. City of Fargo Comparison of Customs Activity for last quarter, 1995; letter from John Goff, State's Attorney, dated January 4, 1996 and memorandum to commissioners from Chairman Toussaint dated January 9, 1996 regarding water resource district board membership; copy of letter from Keith Berndt, County Engineer, to residents living in Brooktree Park area regarding County Road 81 Sheyenne River bridge replacement project. ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed On motion by Mr. Ness and seconded by Mr. Wieland, the meeting was adjourned about 3:45 PM.
