Minutes--January 2, 1996 14~0 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> JANUARY 2, 1996 (TUESDAY) <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Bernie Ness called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as follows: Don <br />Eckert, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, Alon Wieland and Bernie Ness. Donna Schneider was <br />absent. Mrs. Toussaint presided over the meeting after approval of the consent agenda. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order <br /> of the agenda, removing State's Attorney office travel request for lack <br /> of any documentation; and adding the following items to the consent <br /> agenda: Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Contract approval with North Dakota Department of Transportation/ <br />Maintenance, Right of Way Certificate for Maple River bridge replacement <br />Social Services/request for out-of-state travel <br />Resolution of condolences to family of the late Patricia Wold <br />Sheriff's Department/fuel supplier <br />Sheriff's Department/purchase order for two Lanier copy machines <br /> <br />Construction and <br /> <br />COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR FOR 1996, Election ratified <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to elect <br /> Commissioner Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint as Chairman of the Cass <br /> County Board of Commissioners for 1996 and to elect Donna Schneider <br /> as Vice Chair for 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION MEETING DATES/ROTATIONAL MEETINGS/ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER/ <br />PARLIAMENTARIAN <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to adopt 1996 <br /> schedule of meetings as the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month <br /> (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) at 3:30 PM, with Social Service <br /> rotational meetings at 1:30 and other department rotational meetings <br /> at 2:30 PM on Commission meeting days, and special meetings as <br /> called; to adopt Robert's Rules of Order for conducting meetings; and <br /> to appoint Commission Secretary Joyce Schepp as parliamentarian for <br /> Cass County Commission proceedings for 1996. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
