Minutes--October 2, 1995 1396 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> OCTOBER 2, 1995 <br /> <br />COURTHOUSE, Front entrance dedication <br />Dedication of the remodeled Cass County Courthouse front entrance was held at 3:20 PM with <br />Commission Chairman Bernie Ness acknowledging project architect, Terry Stroh, and contractor, <br />Curt Trautman. The work was done in order to provide full handicap accessibility, to implement <br />full security in the building, to create better building circulation at the front entry and re-opening <br />the north elevator. The project, which cost about $79,000, took three months to complete. <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Bernie Ness called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as <br />follows: Don Eckert, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, Donna Schneider and Bernie Ness. Alon <br />Wieland was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that minutes of the <br /> previous meetings of September 18 and September 26, 1995, be <br /> approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve order <br /> of the agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />contracts--GCl Communications; Northwest Technical College; North Dakota Department <br />of Transportation; SYNON, Inc.; Social Services for providing care coordination services <br />State's Attorney out-of-state travel <br />Road Department purchase order for new meeting room <br /> <br />BOND FOR LOST INSTRUMENT, Received and filed for ,lerald Bernath <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to receive and file <br /> Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Jerald Bernath, and authorize <br /> the treasurer and the auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />NORTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, 1996-1998 Federal Aid Program <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the <br /> chairman to sign annotated 1996-1998 Federal Aid program list and <br /> authorize the county engineer to forward the list to the North Dakota <br /> Department of Transportation. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
