Minutes--September 18, 1995 1387 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> SEPTEMBER 18, 1995 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Vice Chair Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members <br />present as follows: Don Eckert, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, Alon Wieland and Donna Schneider. <br />Bernie Ness was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order a_o_oroved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order <br /> of the agenda with the following changes: Motion carried. <br /> <br />add out-of-state travel for Social Services <br />defer final plat approval of Altenburg Acres and Brinks 3rd Subdivisions <br />approve contracts--U.S. West Communications; Dow Services <br />reschedule October 16th commission meeting to October 23rd <br />sign purchase order for Road Department salt/sand spreaders <br />appoint North Dakota State Fair delegate <br />accept resignation of John Meyer, Veteran's Service Officer <br /> <br />TAX ASSESSMENT, Added tax on residential structure MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that residential structures <br /> be valued at $25,000 on the southeast quarter of Section 18, Township <br /> 143, Range 51 and added to the tax rolls for 1995. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL POLICY SECTION 2.40 AMENDED, Accidents and Injuries <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend Personnel <br /> Policy Manual Section 2.40, Accidents and Injuries, in order to comply <br /> with new state law concerning worker's compensation claims. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel ap_oroved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of-state <br /> travel for Keith Berndt and Rich Sieg to attend Federal Highway <br /> Administration County Road Advisor's Workshop in Rapid City, SD <br /> October 18 and 19, 1995.
