Minutes--January 3, 1995 1283 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 3, 1995 (TUESDAY) <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE, Administered to newly elected county officials taking <br />office January 1, 1995 <br />Judge Norman J. Backes administered the Oath of Office to the <br />following county officials who were elected November 8, 1994, for <br />terms beginning January 1, 1995: Commissioners Alon Wieland and Donna <br />Schneider, State's Attorney John Goff, Register of Deeds Deanna <br />Kensrud, and Sheriff Donald Rudnick. Dorothy Howard, Clerk of <br />District Court, took the oath of office earlier today. <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order by Bernie Ness at 3:30 PM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, <br />Alon Wieland, Bernie Ness and Donna Schneider. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. wieland seconded that the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> the order of the agenda adding contracts for board of <br /> prisoners with the City of Fargo and Ransom County under <br /> contract approval on the consent agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR, Elected for 1995 MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to elect <br /> Commissioner Bernie Ness as Chairman of the Cass County <br /> Board of Commissioners for 1995 and to elect Commissioner <br /> Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint as Vice Chair for 1995. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION MEETING DATES, Established for 1995 MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to adopt 1995 <br /> schedule of meetings as the 1st and 3rd Monday of each <br /> month (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) at 3:30 PM, with <br /> rotational meetings at 1:30 PM on Commission meeting days, <br /> and special meetings as called; to adopt Robert's Rules of <br /> Order for conducting meetings; and to appoint Commission <br /> Secretary Joyce Schepp as parliamentarian for Cass County <br /> Commission proceedings for 1995. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
