Minutes--April 4, 1994 1188 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> APRIL 4, 1994 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Steve Risher called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Sharon Toussaint, Alon <br />Wieland, Bernie M. Ness and Steve Risher. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda with the following additions to the <br /> consent agenda: 1) action on application for abatement and <br /> settlement of taxes submitted by Red River Human Services; <br /> 2) permit for site authorization at Red River Valley Fair <br /> beer gardens; 3) authorize issuance of purchase orders for <br /> Road Department equipment; 4) appointment to Welfare <br /> Reform Negotiation Committee; and add computer grant <br /> applications to the regular agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK, April 16-23, 1994 MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize <br /> Chairman to sign proclamation of National County Government <br /> Week, April 16-23, 1994. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ELECTION, Polling locations and hours set for primary election <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to designate <br /> polling places for the June 14, 1994, Primary Election <br /> as outlined on the schedule provided by the County Auditor, <br /> dated March 22, 1994, and to set the polling hours for the <br /> Primary Election as 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SPACE AND PLANNING COMMITTEE ACTIONS RATIFIED, Child Support Enforce- <br />m-nt office space during computer conversion; Juvenile Justice Center <br />addition interior design MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to make space <br /> available in the former Superintendent of Schools Office on <br /> the main floor of the Juvenile Justice Center for Regional <br /> Child Support Enforcement Unit staff from now through the <br /> end of 1994 for a computer conversion project. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to contract <br />directly with Ste. Marie Design for interior design work on <br /> <br /> <br />
