Comm. Minutes--January 3, 1994 1153 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JANUARY 3, 1994 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness and Sharon Toussaint. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried· AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following change: 1) State's Attorney requested removal of out-of-state travel, item j, on the consent agenda. Motion carried. COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR, Elected for 1994 MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to elect Commissioner Steve Risher as Chairman of the Cass County Board of Commissioners for 1994 and to elect Commissioner Bernie Ness as Vice Chairman for 1994. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. Mr. Risher conducted the remainder of the meeting. COMMISSION MEETING DATES, ROTATIONAL MEETINGS, ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER, PARLIAMENTARIAN DESIGNATED MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to adopt 1994 schedule of meetings as the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) at 3:30 PM, with rotational meetings at 1:30 PM on Commission meeting days, and special meetings as called; to adopt Robert's Rules of Order for conducting meetings; and to appoint Commission Secretary Joyce Schepp as parliamentarian for Cass County Commission proceedings. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL AMENDED, Portfolios; 1994 work plans MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to amend Personnel Policy Manual Section 1.30, Portfolios, as follows and deliver 1994 work plans: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
