DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> AUGUST 2, 1993 <br /> <br />1070 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at <br />3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve <br />Risher, Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness and Sharon Toussaint. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. <br /> Motion carried· <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda with the following addition: <br /> fireworks permit for Start Specialty Designs; and the <br /> following change: move item g. of consent agenda <br /> regarding Vector Control reorganization to regular <br /> agenda. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />JUVENILE DETENTION STAFF, Out-of-state travel approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve out-of- <br /> state travel for Tim Olson, Tammy Graff and Kelly Porter <br /> to attend the First Annual Heartland Regional Juvenile <br /> Detention and Corrections Training Institute on August <br /> 23-25, 1993, in Lincoln, Nebraska. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY COURT, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve out-of- <br /> state travel for Judge Frank Racek on August 16 and 17, <br /> 1993, to Bloomington, Minnesota, for a drunk driving <br /> seminar· On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously· <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for Absaraka Homemakers MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve a <br /> raffle permit for Absaraka Homemakers to be held on <br /> October 30, 1993, at Hunter Elementary School in Hunter, <br /> North Dakota. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />NORTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, Request for county <br />participation in bikeway funding approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to authorize the <br /> County Engineer to send a letter to the North Dakota <br /> Department of Transportation expressing county <br /> concurrence with: 1) the proposed bikeway; and 2) the <br /> replacement of the timber bridge on the frontage road <br /> adjacent to 1-94. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
