<br />PROGRAM DESCRIPTION (pagel of 1) <br /> <br /> <br />Youthworks, in collaboration with the Juvenile Court and local schools, will provide diversion services for 130 unruly youth primarily <br />(a) truants, (b) youth suspended and expelled from school and (c) "deep-end" unruly youth" and their families. The staff will <br />collaboratively develop diversion plans with the youth, parents, schools and court focused on keeping youth in school, at home, and <br />out of the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. <br /> <br />1. In 2005-06 Youthworks will provide intensive casework, based on a collaboratively developed plan, for 150 deep-end unruly youth <br />who are at risk of being removed from their home with: <br />~ (85%) of the youth remaining in the custody of their parents. <br />~ (65%) having no further involvement in the juvenile justice system. <br />~ (60%) ofthe youth having no placement interventions (attendant care, psych placement, emergency foster or group placement). <br /> <br />2.
