Minutes--June 7, 1993 1048 <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />NACO CONFERENCE, MEETING WITH FARGO COMMISSIONERS, Committee reports <br />Mrs. Toussaint asked if any commissioners will be attending the <br />National Association of Counties annual conference in Cook County, <br />Chicago, July 16-20, 1993, but none of them plan to attend. Voting <br />credentials will be assigned to the State Association. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint said Cass County Commissioners have been invited to <br />attend a breakfast meeting with Fargo City Commissioners on Wednesday, <br />June 23rd, at 7:00 AM at the Radisson, downtown Fargo, to discuss the <br />possibility of merging court services, and other services as may be <br />appropriate. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded to receive and <br /> file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />letter from United Blood Services thanking Social Services staff <br />who donated blood and to Cathy Meyer for coordinating the recent <br />blood drive; <br /> <br />resignation letter of Nils Buringrud from North Cass Water <br />Resource District; <br /> <br />request from Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments <br />for input on FY 1994 work program projects (respond by June 23); <br /> <br />notice from Weed Control Officer Wayne Colberg of Weed Board <br />meeting June 22nd and Ransom County tour; <br /> <br />letter of appreciation from Leonard Cemetery Association for <br />attendance by John Meyer, Cass County Veterans Service Officer, <br />at their memorial service; <br /> <br />response from U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan about letter from Cass <br />County Commission on proposed BTU tax and letter from U.S. <br />Representative Earl Pomeroy on proposed deficit reduction <br />efforts and the BTU tax; <br /> <br />letters from Jim Lee, Chairman of Barnes Township Board of <br />Supervisors, and from Keith Berndt, County Engineer, regarding <br />recommendations for approval of plans and specifications for <br />Windsor Green Subdivision Street Improvement District #93-1; <br /> <br />complaint from suggestion box on hiring practices of the State's <br />Attorney's Office (copy referred to State's Attorney); <br /> <br />audit report for Housing Authority of Cass County for the period <br />ended December 31, 1992; <br /> <br />notice of hearing at 10:00 AM, June 14, 1993, for the purpose of <br />setting damages for condemnation of land for County Road 11 <br />reconstruction. <br /> <br /> <br />
