Minutes--May 17, 1993 1028 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> MAY 17, 1993 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 <br />PM with four members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, <br />Bernie M. Ness and Sharon Toussaint. Alon Wieland was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Ness seconded that the minutes <br /> from the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion <br /> carried· <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) remove <br /> the request for approval of Wild Rice River Estates <br /> Subdivision, per telephone call of Bonnie Rutten to <br /> Chairman Toussaint on this date; 2) add contracts to item <br /> f on the consent agenda for road paving and seal coats, for <br /> county planning services and for computer information <br /> services; 3) appointment of Commissioner Ness to election <br /> committee. Motion carried. <br /> <br />"SHARON DARDIS DAY" PROCLAMATION MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded that May 24, 1993, <br /> be proclaimed Sharon Dardis Day in Cass County, thereby <br /> allowing all agencies and private citizens to publicly <br /> thank her for her leadership and dedication concerning the <br /> children's bereavement program for Hospice of the Red River <br /> Valley. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Risher read the proclamation and presented it to Mrs. <br /> Dardis at this time, along with a similar proclamation from <br /> the City of Fargo. <br /> <br />WEED CONTROL, DIRECTOR OF TAX, SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve out-of- <br /> state travel for Wayne Colberg, Weed Officer, to attend a <br /> public hearing concerning the National Wildlife Refuge <br /> System May 25-26, 1993, in Bloomington, MN. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve out-of- <br />state travel for Frank Klein, Director of Tax Equalization, <br />to attend the North Central Association of Assessing <br />Officers Conference on June 10-12, 1993, in Overland Park, <br />KS. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
