Minutes--March 8, 1993 999 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> MARCH 8, 1993 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 <br />PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, <br />Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness and Sharon Toussaint. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve order <br /> of the agenda, adding one out-of-state travel request for <br /> a Social Services employee to item c on the consent agenda. <br /> Motion carried· <br /> <br />COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK PROCLAMATION, April 17 - 24, 1993 <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to adopt the <br /> proclamation designating the week of April 17 - 24, 1993, <br /> as National County Government Week. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />· 5. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #1993-4, Condolences to family of late George D. Griffeth <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to adopt the <br /> following resolution of condolences: On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously· <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Cass County Commissioners has learned of <br />the death of George D. Griffeth of Casselton, North Dakota; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, George D. Griffeth served as a member of the Board of <br />Cass County Commissioners for four years--from 1973 through 1976. <br /> <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Board of Commissioners of <br />Cass County, North Dakota, does hereby express its heartfelt <br />condolences to the family of the late George D. Griffeth. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be inscribed upon <br />the permanent records of the proceedings of the Board of County <br />Commissioners and a copy forwarded to his family. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve out-of- <br /> state travel for Leslie Johnson to Detroit Lakes, MN on <br /> February 19, 1993; and for Bev Bohn to Fergus Falls, MN on <br /> February 16, 1993, to attend staffing on child in foster <br /> care. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
