Comm. Minutes--February 1, 1993 993 <br /> <br />Mr. Risher asked about Voucher No. 46,214 from the Road Department for <br />purchase of heated mirrors. Keith Berndt, County Engineer, said he <br />would check this item out. <br /> MOTION~ passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve <br /> Voucher No. 45,315 through 46,373 with the exception of No. <br /> 46,214 to be paid after reasonable explanation from County <br /> Engineer. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />LEGISLATIVE BILLS, YEAR END BUDGET REVIEW, CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT <br />COMPUTER SYSTEM, Committee reports <br />Mr. Wieland reported on outcome of numerous legislative bills. He <br />also discussed a letter from North Dakota Association of Counties <br />asking all counties send a letter to our legislators in opposition of <br />placing the state aid special funds into the state general fund. <br /> MOTION~ passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Ness seconded to oppose placement <br /> of state aid distribution funds into state general fund and <br /> to send a letter to our legislators and those on the <br /> committee voicing Cass County's opposition. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson received the Commission's year end budget review and the <br />Commission under spent their overall budget by 14%. She also reported <br />that the state wants a case analyst from the Child Enforcement Office <br />to train in Bismarck for 9 months to learn the new computer system. <br />The Commission was in agreement that the Child Support Enforcement <br />Office cannot afford to have an employee train for 9 months in <br />Bismarck due the office's heavy workload. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded to receive and <br /> file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />North Dakota Housing Needs Assessment booklet sent by North <br />Dakota Housing Finance Agency; <br /> <br />letter from Joan Perri concerning cemetery care; <br /> <br />superintendent of schools recommendation from Cass County <br />School Masters and response from Commission Chairman; <br /> <br />letter from Rape and Abuse Crisis Center request for <br />funding from "Helping Hand Funds" recently allocated to <br />Cass County by North Dakota Housing Department. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> On motion by Mr. Risher and seconded by Mr. Wieland, the <br /> meeting was adjourned about 4:30 PM. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Michael Montplaisir - County Auditor <br />Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />~haron Toussaint, Chairman <br />Cass County Commission <br /> <br /> <br />
