ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE, Committee report Mr. Eckert said he talked to a representative of Honeywell about temperature controls in the Courthouse, and they don't want the Maintenance Department adjusting thermostats whenever requested because they are trying to correct problems system-wide. County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson sent a memo to ail departments informing them of the work being done by Honeywell under contract with the County from September to December 31 of this year, according to the County Auditor. 18. COURTHOUSE, Drainage problem to be corrected Mr. Eckert received an estimate of $1,800 to provide drainage control from the Courthouse roof and run it under the cement sidewalks so water does not accumulate on sidewalks at both ends of the Courthouse which causes ice on the sidewalks in the winter. He said he has a guarantee from the company that will do the work. MOTION, passed Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize Mr. Eckert to proceed with a plan to remove drainage water from sidewalks on the north and south sides of the Courthouse. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 19. SHERIFF EMPLOYEE TERMINATION, Personnel Overview Committee to discuss procedure for investigation Mr. Wieland is calling for a meeting of the Personnel Overview Committee meeting on September 24th at 8:00 AM to get some direction on handling the investigation into the appeal of Jerry Mickish, who was terminated from the Sheriff's Department employment in July, 1992. 20. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. copy of letter from Cass County Planner concerning proposed bills on solid waste management facility sites; letter from Regional Child Support Enforcement Director regarding status of federal child support, incentive funds; - CDBG Information Letter on 1993 Program; copy of letter from Cass County Engineer to City of Reiles Acres responding to funding request for street improvements; thank you letter from United Blood Services for Cass County Social Services staff who donated blood at recent blood drive; Officer's reports for August from Clerk of District Court, County Court, Register of Deeds, Sheriff, Veterans Service Office; United States Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census, 1990 Census Summary of Social, Economic, and Housing Characteristics for the United States (documents referred to County Planner).
