Minutes--September 21, 1992 924 <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE, Committee report <br />Mr. Eckert said he talked to a representative of Honeywell about <br />temperature controls in the Courthouse, and they don't want the <br />Maintenance Department adjusting thermostats whenever requested <br />because they are trying to correct problems system-wide. County <br />Coordinator Bonnie Johnson sent a memo to ail departments informing <br />them of the work being done by Honeywell under contract with the <br />County from September to December 31 of this year, according to the <br />County Auditor. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />COURTHOUSE, Drainage problem to be corrected <br />Mr. Eckert received an estimate of $1,800 to provide drainage control <br />from the Courthouse roof and run it under the cement sidewalks so <br />water does not accumulate on sidewalks at both ends of the Courthouse <br />which causes ice on the sidewalks in the winter. He said he has a <br />guarantee from the company that will do the work. <br />MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize <br /> Mr. Eckert to proceed with a plan to remove drainage water <br /> from sidewalks on the north and south sides of the <br /> Courthouse. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />SHERIFF EMPLOYEE TERMINATION, Personnel Overview Committee to discuss <br />procedure for investigation <br />Mr. Wieland is calling for a meeting of the Personnel Overview <br />Committee meeting on September 24th at 8:00 AM to get some direction <br />on handling the investigation into the appeal of Jerry Mickish, who <br />was terminated from the Sheriff's Department employment in July, 1992. <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to receive <br /> and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as <br /> follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />copy of letter from Cass County Planner concerning proposed <br />bills on solid waste management facility sites; <br /> <br />letter from Regional Child Support Enforcement Director <br />regarding status of federal child support, incentive funds; <br /> <br />- CDBG Information Letter on 1993 Program; <br /> <br />copy of letter from Cass County Engineer to City of Reiles Acres <br />responding to funding request for street improvements; <br /> <br />thank you letter from United Blood Services for Cass County <br />Social Services staff who donated blood at recent blood drive; <br /> <br />Officer's reports for August from Clerk of District Court, <br />County Court, Register of Deeds, Sheriff, Veterans Service <br />Office; <br /> <br />United States Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census, 1990 <br />Census Summary of Social, Economic, and Housing Characteristics <br />for the United States (documents referred to County Planner). <br /> <br /> <br />
