Comm. Minutes--August 3, 1992 892 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />requested by County Engineer Keith Berndt at the July <br />20, 1992, Road Department rotational meeting. On roll <br />call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD SUPERINTENDENT TO RECEIVE COMPENSATION AS ACTING DEPARTMENT HEAD, <br />According to county personnel policy MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to <br /> approve payment of $1,548.75 to Steve Grindberg as <br /> acting department head of the Cass County Road <br /> Department from the date of February 13, 1992 through <br /> June 26, 1992, to comply with Personnel Policy Manual <br /> Section 7.20 (acting pay). On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE ACTIONS RATIFIED, Personnel policy <br />change; State's Attorney grant funds; revised travel expense voucher; <br />State's Attorney Assistant salary increase; 1993 salary proposal <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to <br /> accept revisions adopted by the Personnel Overview <br /> Committee in Section 7.00 of the Wage and Salary <br /> Administration policy to be effective August 17, 1992. <br /> The policy will now read: "A department head may <br /> request to hire a new employee or a replacement above <br /> the minimum if the applicant has exceptional <br /> education, experience, the department has adequate <br /> fiscal resources, the salary does not create any <br /> internal inequity within the County, and recruitment <br /> difficulties are documented. The request must be <br /> approved by the County Commission after review by the <br /> Personnel Overview Committee." On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to <br /> approve access of grant funds through Crime Victims <br /> Account grant application for salary enhancement of <br /> Victim Witness Advocate Julie Hough with the <br /> guidelines of Ernst and Young recommended for July, <br /> 1992, and January, 1993. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to <br /> approve changes in travel and expense reimbursement <br /> policy and adopt new travel expense voucher to be <br /> effective August 17, 1992. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to set <br /> the salary of Constance Cleveland equivalent to the <br /> salary of David Hagler at $33,136 annually, effective <br /> July 1, 1992. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
