<br />Commission Minutes--November 21, 2005 3002 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />NOVEMBER 21, 2005 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Darrell Vanyo called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Robyn Sorum. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Michael Montplaisir led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. AUDITOR'S OFFICE, Monthlv financial statement received <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to receive a monthly <br />financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month ended <br />October 31, 2005. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 4.00, Non-Statutory Boards <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to amend Commission <br />Policy Manual, Section 4.00, Non-Statutory Boards and re-appoint Mick <br />Hammerstrom as the county's representative on the Greater Fargo <br />Moorhead Economic Development Corporation Growth Initiative fund <br />board for a three-year term to expire December 31, 2008. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. CONTRACT APPROVAL, Motorola Corporation <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to approve the following <br />contract submitted by respective department head, subject to state's <br />attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motorola Corporation--purchase of radio infrastructure equipment for Public <br />Safety Interoperable Radio Communications project. <br /> <br />8. RESOLUTION, Local Governance Advisory Committee <br />Bernie Dardis, Chairman of the Local Governance Advisory Committee, was present. He <br />said the committee has met several times and spoken with department heads and the <br />scope of work handled by departments is impressive. The committee is a strong advocate <br />of the electoral process; however, with the type of responsibilities involved and with <br />
