The current <br />phase of the project requires the purchase of a large amount of radio infrastructure <br />equipment from Motorola Inc. This equipment is being purchased through an existing <br />State of North Dakota equipment contract and represents a major part of the new system. <br /> <br />The entire cost of this equipment ($1,573,745) is contained in the 2005 Cass County <br />Emergency Management budget and is reimbursed at 100% through an existing <br />Homeland Security Grant. <br /> <br />I have provided a copy of the proposed contract agreement to the State's Attorney for <br />reVIew. <br /> <br /> <br />Dave ogness <br />Erne gency Manager <br /> <br />Proposed Motion: I move to approve the contract with Motorola Inc. for purchase of <br />radio infrastructure equipment including engineering and installation for the Public <br />Safety Interoperable Radio Communications project. <br />
