Minutes--August 5, 1991 713 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve out <br />of state travel for Dawn Krieger, Social Services employee, <br />to Elbow Lake, Minnesota, on August 7, 1991. On roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. CORRECTIVE COUNTY DEED, Property in Alice <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize <br />the Commission Chairman to sign a corrective County Deed on <br />a parcel in the City of Alice, originally sold to Martin <br />and Irene Maruska in 1973. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. MAIN AVENUE LIGHTING, Payment of bill to Cass County Electric <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to pay the <br />current billing of $394.25 to Cass County Electric for the <br />street lighting along Main Avenue near Bonanzaville and <br />direct the States Attorney's office to notify the North <br />Dakota State Highway Department that Cass County is <br />terminating the street lighting contract effective June 30, <br />1992. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. ROAD AND STREET REPAIR, Disbursements to Mapleton. Gardner. Davenport <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br />1991 road and street repair funds to the City of Mapleton <br />in the amount of $1,350.00; to the City of Gardner in the <br />amount of $235.00; and to the City of Davenport in the <br />amount of $374.00. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />10. RESIGNATION, Plannin~ Commission advisory member <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to accept the <br />verbal resignation of Tom Garske, advisory member to the <br />Cass County Planning Commission, and begin the process of <br />seeking applications to fill the vacancy for the remaining <br />term. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. CASS COUNTY MODEL PROJECT, NACo Achievement Award <br />Commissioners Steve Risher and Alon Wieland recently attended the <br />National Association of Counties (NACo) convention in Salt Lake City, <br />Utah, where Cass County received a 1991 NACo Achievement Award for the <br />"Cass County Model Project." Mr. Wieland received the award on behalf <br />of Cass County. <br /> <br />12. NACo AWARD TO VOLUNTEER CITIZEN, Presentation to Oscar Sondrall <br />The National Association of Counties (NACo) also recognized former <br />Cass County Commissioner Oscar Sondrall for his time and effort <br />volunteering for community services through county government. The <br />NACo award was presented to Mr. Sondrall at this time. <br />
