Hinutes--Ju~e 5, 1990 469 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11, <br /> <br />12, <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF EXTENSION AGENT, Brad Co~d.j,!1 <br />$1~aron Anderson from the Cass Coun~,y Extension Service <br />introduced Brad Cogdill, Extension Agent, and welcomed him to <br />Cass County. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Agreement with Southeast Cass MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the <br /> Chairman be authorized to sign the Southeast Cass Right o f <br /> Entry Permit and Construction and Maintenance Agreement <br /> concerning the Sheyenne-Maple Flood Control No. 2 project. <br /> On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, ~ounty F.ederal Aid Program NOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Hr. Wieland seconded that the <br /> Chairman be authorized to sign the County Federal Aid <br /> Program for 1991-1992. On roll call vote, the motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Bid Opening <br />Hr. Don Richards, County Engineer, opened bids for equipment, <br />annual supplies, and paving project. Sealed bids having <br />endorsements on the outside of the envelopes containing each bid <br />and stating what the proposals were for were on file with the <br />County Auditor. Bids were opened and made pub'lic. Each was <br />accompanied by a bidder's bond in an amount of 5% of bid. <br /> <br />The following bids were received for bituminous surfacing: <br /> F.M. Asphalt $612,938.81 <br /> Border States Paving $734,016.74 <br /> Northern Improvement Co. $677,003.70 <br /> <br />One bid was received for a used scraper from General Equipment <br />& Supplies, Inc. for $85,285.17. <br /> <br />The following bids were received for a used truck tractor: <br /> <br />Midwest Mack, Inc. <br />W.W. Wallwork <br />Peterbilt of Fargo <br /> <br />$ 54,834.00 <br />$ 48,600.00 <br />$ 39,750.00 <br /> <br />The bids for reinforced concrete pipe arch culverts included four <br />items: Item 1-structure to replace a bridge located between <br />Section 5 and 8 in Wheatland Township; Item 2-structure for <br />Section 10, Drain 47 in Pleasant Township; Item 3-reinforced <br />concrete pipe arch or double barrel RC box; Item 4 - grading <br />project on County Road 22 from Harwood east three miles. The <br />following bids were received: <br /> <br />H.V. Johnston Culvert Company <br /> Item ~1 $11,005.00 <br /> Item ¢2 $ 9,165.00 <br /> Item ~4 $ 9,466.10 <br /> <br /> <br />
