Minutes--February 20, 1990 428 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS February 20, 1990 HEETING TO ORDER Chairman Gene Shannon called the meeting to order with four members present as follows: Oscar Sondrall, Don Eckert, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, and Gene Shannon. Commissioner Alon Wieland was absent. MINUTES APPROVED Before calling for approval of the minutes, Mr. Shannon acknowledged that he made a parliamentary error in calling for reco~sideration of the motion concerning the vector control director in paragraph 36 of tile February 6, 1990, minutes. He said the motion to reconsider should have been made by the prevailing side. However, since he was on the prevailing side and wanted the motion reconsidered, he was confident the outcome would have been the same. Hearing no objection, he ca'lled for approval of the minutes. NOTION, passed Mr. Sondrall moved and Hr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. PERMIT, Raffles approved NOTION, passed Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that raffle permits be approved for Chaffee Summer Recreation on March 10, 1990; Northern Plains Rabbit Breeders Association on October 27, 1990; Interstate Gun Club on July 21, 1990; and Sheyenne Red River High School Rodeo Club on April 29, 1990· On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. OFFICER'S REPORTS, Received and filed NOTION, passed Mr. Sondra11 moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to receive and file Officer's Reports for January, 1990. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. SALE OF TAX-DELINQUENT LOTS, Fargo, Harwood, and Hunter NOTION, passed Regarding sale of lots from the 1989 tax sale, Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the City of Fargo be allowed to purchase 35 parcels from the County and cancel the general tax of $1,771.96; that the City of Harwood be allowed to purchase one parcel and cancel the general tax of $72.66; that the City of Hunter be allowed to purchase one parcel and cancel the general tax of $534.44. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. CASS COUNTY MODEL PROJECT, Office Space in JuveRile center NOTION, passed Mr. Sondra]] moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the Commission resolves to use the conference room in the northwest basement of the Juvenile Detention Center for a temporary period of time for the "Cass County Hode]." On roll ca]] vote, the motion carried unanimously.
