Comm. Minutes--July 11, 1989 286 <br /> <br />16. EMERGENCY 911, Purchase of equipment MOTION, passed <br /> Upon the recommendation of Glenn E11ingsberg, Mr. Wieland <br /> moved and Mr. Sondra11 seconded to approve the purchase of <br /> emergency 911 equipment through U.S. West and that the <br /> County Auditor enter into a lease-purchase option, the cost <br /> of about $52,000 to be paid from the 911 Trust account. On <br /> roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />17. COURTHOUSE SECURITY SYSTEM, Operational <br />Glenn Elllngsberg reported that the Courthouse entrance door security <br />system is up and running. He stated that the storage and records <br />room door in the lunchroom should be locked at all times for security <br />purposes. He further recommended that a button 'lock be moved from <br />the District Court and placed on that door. There were no objections <br />from the Commissioners, and Mr. Eckert recommended that he proceed. <br /> <br />18. APPOINTMENTS, Planning & Zoning Board from extraterritorial <br />A letter was received from Earl Haugen, County Planner, stating that <br />the cities having terms of extraterritorial zoning commissioner <br />members expiring wish to have the same people reappointed. Since <br />that letter, Casselton has requested that Lorne Sterner be appointed <br />in place of Ralph Johnson. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that Lewis <br /> Barker be reappointed for the City of Gardner, Duane <br /> Thorsteinson for Reile's Acres, and Lawrence Baasch, Jr. <br /> for Tower City for terms to expire July 1, 1993; and to <br /> appoint Lorne Sterner in place of Ralph Johnson for the <br /> City of Casselton for a term to expire July 1, 1994, from <br /> the extraterritorial areas. Motion carried. <br /> <br />19. APPOINTMENT, SE Human Services Board <br />Mrs. Toussaint reported receipt of the t'ollowing applications for the <br />one vacancy on the Southeast Human Services Board: Adeline Hart'l, <br />David K. Martin, and Mary Deutsch Schneider. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to appoint <br /> Adeline Hartl to the Southeast Human Services Board to <br /> complete the unexpired term of Maura Jones, which will end <br /> December 31, 1989. Hotion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />20. APPOINTMENT, Vector Control Board <br />Mrs. Toussaint stated that in order to appoint a County Commissioner <br />to the Vector Control Board, Jeannette Stanton must first be removed. <br />Her term does not expire until January 1, 1991. MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded that <br /> Jeannette Stanton be removed from the Vector Control <br /> District Board. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to appoint <br /> Commissioner Oscar Sondrall to the Vector Control District <br /> Board following Mrs. Stanton's removal. <br /> <br /> <br />
