EMERGENCY 911, Purchase of equipment MOTION, passed Upon the recommendation of Glenn E11ingsberg, Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondra11 seconded to approve the purchase of emergency 911 equipment through U.S. West and that the County Auditor enter into a lease-purchase option, the cost of about $52,000 to be paid from the 911 Trust account. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 17. COURTHOUSE SECURITY SYSTEM, Operational Glenn Elllngsberg reported that the Courthouse entrance door security system is up and running. He stated that the storage and records room door in the lunchroom should be locked at all times for security purposes. He further recommended that a button 'lock be moved from the District Court and placed on that door. There were no objections from the Commissioners, and Mr. Eckert recommended that he proceed. 18. APPOINTMENTS, Planning & Zoning Board from extraterritorial A letter was received from Earl Haugen, County Planner, stating that the cities having terms of extraterritorial zoning commissioner members expiring wish to have the same people reappointed. Since that letter, Casselton has requested that Lorne Sterner be appointed in place of Ralph Johnson. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that Lewis Barker be reappointed for the City of Gardner, Duane Thorsteinson for Reile's Acres, and Lawrence Baasch, Jr. for Tower City for terms to expire July 1, 1993; and to appoint Lorne Sterner in place of Ralph Johnson for the City of Casselton for a term to expire July 1, 1994, from the extraterritorial areas. Motion carried. 19. APPOINTMENT, SE Human Services Board Mrs. Toussaint reported receipt of the t'ollowing applications for the one vacancy on the Southeast Human Services Board: Adeline Hart'l, David K. Martin, and Mary Deutsch Schneider. MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to appoint Adeline Hartl to the Southeast Human Services Board to complete the unexpired term of Maura Jones, which will end December 31, 1989. Hotion carried unanimously. 20. APPOINTMENT, Vector Control Board Mrs. Toussaint stated that in order to appoint a County Commissioner to the Vector Control Board, Jeannette Stanton must first be removed. Her term does not expire until January 1, 1991. MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded that Jeannette Stanton be removed from the Vector Control District Board. Motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to appoint Commissioner Oscar Sondrall to the Vector Control District Board following Mrs. Stanton's removal.
