PERSONNEL DIRECTOR, Ppsition discussed <br />In the area of a Personnel Director, Mr. Wieland felt the committee <br />did their job and that a professional is needed for the next step. <br />He stated that the Sheriff pointed out that he is looking for the <br />next area of appeal. Advertisement for a Personnel Director will be <br />placed on the July 11th agenda, and Mr. Hoy suggested that the <br />Personnel Assistant be requested to draft some minimum job <br />qualifications prior to the next meeting. Jim Thoreson from the <br />Sheriff's Department expressed concern that it could be six months <br />before their grievances are resolved if the Commission adopts the <br />salary proposal as is and delays any grievances until a Personnel <br />Director is hired. Mrs. Toussaint stated that the Commission will be <br />meeting with each department head, and hopefully they could relay <br />their feelin9s at the time of their evaluation, or they can address <br />the Commission at any time. <br /> <br />36. BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS, ROAD DEPARTMENT, Used vehicles <br />Don Eckert reported that the County Engineer looked at used vehicles <br />for sale by the State Highway Department and asked to have three <br />placed on hold. Mr. Eckert felt the Buildings and Grounds Department <br />may be interested in one vehicle to replace their pickup, and he <br />suggested that Mr. Sondrall visit with Don Richards about it. <br /> <br />37. COURTHOUSE SOUTH WING ELEVATOR, Adjustment needed <br />It was the consensus of the Commissioners that Hr. Sondrall should <br />contact DaSota Elevator Company to make a mechanical adjustment to <br />try to increase the speed of the elevator in the South Wing, <br /> <br />38. COURTHOUSE, Wooden floor <br />Commissioners received copies from Professional Building Services of <br />a product specification sheet for the polyurethane product used on <br />the wooden flooring in the hallways of the Courthouse North and South <br />Wings. Mr. Shannon felt there was a problem with overspray and a <br />fresh mop on the floor making it excessively slippery near the closet <br />that had been used to store such supplies. Mr. Sondrall reported <br />that the mops are no longer in the closet. <br /> <br />39.
