PERSONNEL DIRECTOR, Ppsition discussed In the area of a Personnel Director, Mr. Wieland felt the committee did their job and that a professional is needed for the next step. He stated that the Sheriff pointed out that he is looking for the next area of appeal. Advertisement for a Personnel Director will be placed on the July 11th agenda, and Mr. Hoy suggested that the Personnel Assistant be requested to draft some minimum job qualifications prior to the next meeting. Jim Thoreson from the Sheriff's Department expressed concern that it could be six months before their grievances are resolved if the Commission adopts the salary proposal as is and delays any grievances until a Personnel Director is hired. Mrs. Toussaint stated that the Commission will be meeting with each department head, and hopefully they could relay their feelin9s at the time of their evaluation, or they can address the Commission at any time. 36. BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS, ROAD DEPARTMENT, Used vehicles Don Eckert reported that the County Engineer looked at used vehicles for sale by the State Highway Department and asked to have three placed on hold. Mr. Eckert felt the Buildings and Grounds Department may be interested in one vehicle to replace their pickup, and he suggested that Mr. Sondrall visit with Don Richards about it. 37. COURTHOUSE SOUTH WING ELEVATOR, Adjustment needed It was the consensus of the Commissioners that Hr. Sondrall should contact DaSota Elevator Company to make a mechanical adjustment to try to increase the speed of the elevator in the South Wing, 38. COURTHOUSE, Wooden floor Commissioners received copies from Professional Building Services of a product specification sheet for the polyurethane product used on the wooden flooring in the hallways of the Courthouse North and South Wings. Mr. Shannon felt there was a problem with overspray and a fresh mop on the floor making it excessively slippery near the closet that had been used to store such supplies. Mr. Sondrall reported that the mops are no longer in the closet. 39. ADJOURN On motion by Mr. Shannon and seconded by Mr. Sondrall, the meeting was adjourned.
