July 17, 2019
Page 2

so far, between communities submitting requests to MMB and communities that were written
into a line-item in the House committee bill draft, over $20 million of specific requests are
known to exist in addition to the needs in the Moorhead area. There also exists tens of millions
more in requests for semi-similar water-control projects such as breakwaters, sea walls, and
storm sewer system upgrades.

MN Department of Agriculture
Fredrikson & Byron staff were made aware of some questions being raised by the Commissioner
of Agriculture, Thom Petersen. We have reached out to his office to see if additional information
can be supplied, or a meeting arranged, about the project, but as he and several Commissioner’s
Office staff have been traveling as of this update, we have not received a reply from his office.
