They
are concerned about dyer bank erosion threatenin§ their home. Mr. Berndt said
in 1992 the county replaced a bridge over the river with a box culvert and
additional sheet piling was installed in 1998 to curtail erosion that was occurring
downstream from the culverL He noted the culvert does not appear to be
aligned well with the channel and may be contributing to bank erosion by
directing the water toward the bank.

Mr. Bemdt discussed several options, including repairing the river bank and
purchasing the home. The owners said they purchased the house in 2001 for
around $160,000. They would prefer the county buy the home.

Mr. Wieland is concerned about homes to the north if the river bank is not fixed.
Mr. Bemdt is confident the county could repair the slide. He prefers the county
try to repair the problem and then discuss future options with the owners. Mr.
Wieland would like a few members from the Road Advisory committee as well as
a member from Southeast Cass Water Resource District look at the site and
discuss the options.

ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed
On motion by Mr. Wleland, seconded by Mrs. Serum and
all voting in favor, the meeting adjourned at 2:10 PM.
