CANAAN MORAVIAN CHURCH
4465 159TH AVE SE
DAVENPORT, NORTH DAKOTA 58021

March 5, 2002

CASS COUNTY ROAD ADVISORY BOARD:

One of the improvements in our society that developed throughout history
was the blacktop or hard surface road. It not only enhanced safer and more
expedient travel, but eliminated volumes of dust from the atmosphere.

I would encourage your board to push for the improvement of our rural
gravel roads so that the final result would be blacktop. County roads #6 and
#16 are already partially developed into blacktop. I encourage you to
complete the existing gravel in our area into blacktop.

Our rural church has recently improved the facility to be completely handicap
accessible. Our facility is located on county road #9. Weekly, we have from
55 to 85 people who attend the services. The congregation is planning to
blacktop the circle drive to our handicap entrance. It would be great to have
the road past our facility to be blacktop, also.

If this becomes a possibility, our congregation would very likely want to
blacktop the entire parking lot which is adjacent to county road #9.

Your positive enhancement of the above requests are greatly appreciated.
