This list shows the properties that as of the
above date still have 2000 taxes owing, some of these properties will be paid by October 3rd
and we will provide a new list on that date. In addition, the present list does not show the
minimum sales price recommended by the County Auditor and County Director of
Equalization - those values will be filled in on the list you receive on October 3rd.

The minimum sales price generally must be set for at least as much as the estimated taxes,
specials, penalties, interest, and costs from the 2000 through the 2005 taxes. In some cases,
we may recommend a lower minimum sales price due to the condition of the property. In
most cases we will make a recommendation at a discounted fair market value. We discount
the market value based on the county issuing a deed that transfers our interest in the property,
not necessarily clear title.

One the minimum sales price is set, we will send a letter to the city auditors and township
clerks where property is located informing them of the minimum sales price and of the hearing
date and time on the minimum sales price.

Property owners have until the auction date to redeem their property by paying the total of
taxes, interest, penalties, and costs for the 2000 through 2004 taxes before the auction date.
The public auction under state law is set for the third Tuesday in November, which this year is
November 15th.

\'ii!;~~~.

Michael Montplaisir
County Auditor

SUGGESTED MOTION:
Move to set the minimum sales price as recommended by the County Auditor and County
Director of Equalization.

Or

Move to set the minimum sales price as recommended by the County Auditor and County
Director of Equalization with the following exceptions.
