We don't have room in the <br />current storage area of the courthouse to house the additional equipment that will be delived in <br />November. Also in 2006 we will be obtaining additional equipment that will require space to <br />be stored between elections. <br /> <br />We have a proposal for a rental storage that meets the criteria we were looking for - it is fairly <br />close to the courthouse (Page Dr), has separate entrances from any other building users, and <br />the price is reasonable. There is some remodeling and cleaning that would need to be done <br />before we could occupy the site and the owner has agreed to get that accomplished. The space <br />is 3,750 square feet with a rental cost on a five year lease of $4.16 per square feet or $15,600 <br />total per year. <br /> <br />I have asked the owner to submit a proposed lease to me as soon as possible; I have informed <br />him that we would need to add a non-appropriation clause to the lease. I would like to lease <br />the property starting November 1st so that we will have space to store the equipment arriving <br />in Nobember. We do have room within our budget to pay for the two months of rental for this <br />year and in 2006 for the twelve month rental.
