<br />. <br />. <br /> <br />Certification of Award <br /> <br />Juvenile Accountability Block Grant Program <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Jurisdiction: Cass County <br /> <br />Contact Person: Glenn Ellingsberg, Cass County Sheriff's Office <br /> <br />o Single Allocation: The above jurisdiction has elected to receive a direct award of JAIBG funds which <br />will be obligated and expended in accordance with its Coordinated Enforcement Plan as developed by <br />the local Juvenile Crime Enforcement Coalition (JCEC). <br /> <br />[8J Collective Allocation: The above jurisdiction is part of a collective allocation of JAIBG funds and its <br />award will be received and obligated by Cass County <br />(Recipient Jurisdiction) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to federal guidelines, the State and each unit of local government receiving JAIBG funds is <br />required to have a policy of testing appropriate categories of juveniles within the juvenile justice system <br />for use of controlled substances. The State of North Dakota has had such a policy in effect pursuant to <br />Chapters 27-20 and 27-21 of the North Dakota Century Code. Please check the appropriate response <br />as it relates to substance testing policies for juveniles within your juriSdiction: <br /> <br />[8J The above jurisdiction certifies that it does not have direct responsibility for the controlled <br />substance testing practices and policies for juveniles within the juvenile justice system, and that it <br />complies with the State's practices and policies. <br /> <br />o The above jurisdiction has implemented the attached controlled substance testing policy for <br />juveniles within the juvenile justice system. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I certify that: 1) all information provided is correct and in accordance with the federal guidelines for the <br />JAIBG Program; 2) a coordinated enforcement plan has been developed by a local JCEC; 3) the funds <br />will be spent in the required program purpose areas and in the interests of publiC safety and juvenile <br />crime control; 4) the required cash match will be made available; 5) the funds will not supplant revenues <br />already appropriated; and 6) the above jurisdiction will comply with all federal fiscal management and <br />audit requirements. <br /> <br />Name: Darrell Vanyo <br /> <br />Title: Cass County Commission Chairman <br /> <br />Signature: <br /> <br />Date: <br />
