FINANCE <br /> <br />Functional Coordinator: County Auditor <br /> <br />Purpose <br /> <br />To provide procedures for preparedness, response and recovery to maintain and record all public <br />documents that may be impacted by disasters, such as: <br /> <br />Health Related <br />Communicable <br />Disease <br />Bio-terrorism <br /> <br />Fire/Explosion <br />Vehicle Accidents <br />Aircraf~ Accidents <br />Hazardous Materials <br />Structural Collapse <br />Power Failure <br /> <br />Bomb Thre~ <br />Terrorism <br />ActiveShooter <br />CivilDisoMer <br /> <br />Flood <br />Heavy Rains <br />Blizzard <br />Tornado <br />High Winds <br /> (Straight-line) <br />Drought <br /> <br />The functional coordinator will provide a system to carry out the legal, fiscal and administrative <br />responsibilities necessary to maintain the continuity of government and records management as <br />prescribed by law. <br /> <br />Primary Functions: Keep financial records for disaster preparedness, operations, recovery and <br />mitigation grants <br /> <br />This role will be filled by the Senior Accountant in the event the County Auditor is unavailable. <br /> <br />Preparedness: <br />· Develop accounting routine to handle expenses during emergency situations <br />· Maintain potential grant information for emergency funding <br />· Provide emergency operations and records management training to all personnel <br />· Ensure all records are appropriately stored and backed up for preservation <br /> <br />Response: <br />· Initiate record keeping and documentation of finances <br />· Facilitate the purchase of emergency supplies, as necessary <br />· Maintain records on amounts of disaster spending <br />· Provide accountant services upon activation of EOC to track all expenditures relative to any <br /> disaster or emergency <br />· Provide expense reports to City Commission <br />· Work with emergency manager for emergency funding from state level <br />· Notify and file claims with insurance carders for loss or damage to city property <br /> <br />6/27/03 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
