The engine failed in a 1-ton truck. The cost of repair <br />is estimated between $7,000 - $8,000. The l-ton truck currently has 175,000 <br />miles. We feel it may be more economical to purchase a new truck then to <br />invest $8,000 in a 1996 truck with ! 75,000 miles. At the time of this writing, <br />we do not have cost estimates for a new truck, but will have additional <br />infonuation by the time of the Commission meeting. <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: Authorize Chairman to sign purchase order for <br />the purchase for a new truck for the Weed and Vector Department. <br /> <br /> 1201 West Main Avenue <br /> P.O.
