Ellingsberg from his current <br />administrative duties to oversee the operations duties of the Cass <br />County Jail. Mr. Ellingsberg has the expertise and knowledge to <br />oversee the operation of the jail. My recommendation would be to <br />promote Capt. Ellingsberg to the rank of Major with Chief Deputy <br />status with a salary increase from $57,775.65 to $60,675.68. <br /> <br />At the same time I would like approval to hire the Lieutenant position <br />which was recommended by the consultant. Salary of the Lieutenant <br />position would depend on who would receive that position at a level of <br />5% above present salary or starting salary in the Lieutenant position. <br /> <br />With the authorization of these two positions as requested there will <br />be a savings to the County.
