I do not anticipate filling the <br />position this year. <br /> <br />A project that we have been considering and is becoming more important every day <br />is updating our web page. The web page was last updated in December of 2001 <br />when we had GovDocs redesign the entire site. We anticipate staying with the <br />same look but updating some of the underlying structure to make it easier to update <br />and provide more current information. At the same time, we would add some <br />features to make it more appealing to the public. <br /> <br />Our immediate concern is getting information on the site concerning vector and <br />weed control, as well as road construction projects. These items are very timely <br />and will need, in some cases, to be updated daily. Our goal is to make updating <br />some of these portions of the web page easy enough that the departments involved <br />can update it themselves. A secondary goal is to publicize the web site to get more <br />citizens to view it for county information. <br /> <br />To accomplish the changes to the web site, we would need to contract with a web <br />design firm. Our current consulting line item does not contain funds for this project <br />so we are requesting to move $30,000 from the salaries and benefits line items to <br />the consulting line item.
