Youthworks, in collaboration with the Juvenile Court and local schools, will provide diversion services for 130 unruly youth primarily (a) truants, (b) youth suspended and expelled from school and (c) "deep-end" unruly youth" and their families. The staff will collaboratively develop diversion plans with the youth, parents, schools and court focused on keeping youth in school, at home, and out of the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. 1. In 2005-06 Youthworks will provide intensive casework, based on a collaboratively developed plan, for 150 deep-end unruly youth who are at risk of being removed from their home with: ~ (85%) of the youth remaining in the custody of their parents. ~ (65%) having no further involvement in the juvenile justice system. ~ (60%) of the youth having no placement interventions (attendant care, psych placement, emergency foster or group placement). 2.
