I've enclosed a resolution
and map with the proposed spring load restriction postings. The criteria
used for pavements was the pavement condition and area served. Each
small town has at least one Class I road serving it.

The only pavement that is not restricted are a section of County 20 north of
Fargo, a section of County 81 south of Fargo, County 11 south of Mapleton,
and County 1 near Tower City.

Most gravel roads are posted at a Class II restriction. The exceptions are a
section of County 9 serving then Woods Elevator, a section of County 11
west of Grandin, and a section of County 25 serving Hickson.

SUGGESTED MOTION: Adopt resolution implementing spring load
restrictions.

J:~Admin-Eng\Commission C0rrsp~2003 Commission Correspondence\Consent Memo Spring Load Rest
030703.doc

1201 V~st Main A~nue
P.O.
