<br />Commission Minutes--March 17, 2003 2573 <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson reported there are approximately ten legislative bills ongoing that are being <br />monitored. She also reported work is continuing on the damage to the annex building after <br />a sprinkler head failed and flooded a part of the fourth floor. Another leak over the <br />weekend, unrelated to the fire alarm sprinkler system, caused damage to a desk in the <br />Veterans Service Office. <br /> <br />Mr. Meyer reminded everyone that collection of the sales tax specifically for the new jail will <br />be ending in about two weeks, which is six months earlier than originally projected. <br /> <br />Wade Webb, Assistant State's Attorney's, was present in place of State's Attorney Birch <br />Burdick, who was unable to attend today's meeting. <br /> <br />14. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />- North Dakota Department of Transportation updated bridge inspection report; <br />- letter from Preservation North Dakota, Inc. regarding delaying demolition of the former <br />Cass County Sheriff's Residence; <br />- notice of Cass County Township Officers' Association annual spring meeting to be held <br />Thursday, April 3, 2003 at 7:30 PM in the Casselton City Hall. <br /> <br />15.
