INVESTIGATION OF ABATEMENT APPLICATION <br /> <br />ABATEMENT NO. 4234 <br /> <br />Following is a report on the investigation of the abatement application of: Rose Poncelet <br /> <br />Cass County Board of Commissioners and State Tax Commissioner: <br /> <br />The applicant is asking that the valuation be reduced on the commercial structures located on the <br />North 98' Bk B City of Kindred for the year 2002. She is asking that the valuation be prorated <br />from $37,000 to $21,000, due to a fire that destroyed the structures on June 15th, 2002. <br /> <br />The City of Kindred recommended approval of the abatement application. <br /> <br />NDCC 57-23-04(1)(g) provides for reduction in valuation due to fire. <br /> <br />I concur with the City and recommend approval of the abatement. <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: "I move that Abatement #4234 be approved as presented and as <br />recommended by the City of Kindred and the Director of Equalization." <br /> <br />Dated this 25th day of February, 2003. <br /> <br />Francis Klein <br />Director of Tax Equalization <br /> <br />j:\tax\wp~abat¢ <br /> <br /> <br />
