APPENDIX A PAGE 1 OF 1 AGREEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE NORTH DAKOTA ALCOHOL INCENTIVE GRANT PROJECT NO. PHSP4100304 SP 01 Ph 01 SCOPE OF WORK The purpose of this contract is to provide funding to the Cass County Sheriff's Department for an officer to attend the 2003 National Lifesavers Conference on Highway Safety Priorities at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, in Chicago, Illinois. This is a three-day conference, from March 9, 2003, to March 11, 2003. The objectives of the conference are highway safety priorities. Among the tracks offered are law enforcement, impaired driving, data and research, child passenger safety, safe communities, and occupant protection. The Cass County Sheriff' s Department must apply for financial assistance. Highway safety funds may be used to reimburse conference registration (if not paid by Lifesavers), airfare, lodging, meals, and ground transportation. An itemized list of expenditures, along with copies of receipts and a trip report must be submitted with the reimbursement voucher. Vouchers and reports are due no later than 60 days after the end of the activity in which expenses occurred. The final voucher is due no later than November 14, 2003. Supporting documentation must be retained at the local level in accordance with audit guidelines. The Cass County Sheriff's Department will provide a copy of their seat belt policy to the Drivers License and Traffic Safety Division before requesting reimbursement for this activity. All persons reimbursed with traffic safety funds are required to wear seat belts and obey all traffic laws while on official business of the project.
